Brianna LaPaglia Says Zach Bryan Split amid Grace O'Malley Friendship Breakup Felt Like Her 'World Had Just Ended' (2025)

Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia is sharing more details on her breakup with Zach Bryan.

On a recent episode of Casual Chaos, the influencer, 25, further opened up about her contentious split from the country singer, 29, and how the timing collided with her "breakup" with her best friend Grace O'Malley.

"In that moment, it felt like my world had just ended — especially being so public and also going through a best friend breakup at the same time," LaPaglia told podcast host Gia Giudice during the episode released on Monday, April 28.

The couple's split was made public by Bryan on Instagram on Oct. 22, which she's previously said she was "blindsided" by his decision to share. LaPaglia eventually shared her side of the story and accused Bryan of emotional abuse during their romance.

While Bryan has not publicly commented on LaPaglia's allegations,he has remained active on Instagramandreleased new music. Most recently, he appeared to debut a new romance with Australian model Hannah Duncan.

Meanwhile, rumors of a friendship rift with Grace O'Malley swirled at the same time. On Dec. 11, LaPaglia confirmed on theBFFspodcast that her relationship with Bryan led to her friendship breakup with her formerPlanBri Uncutcohost O'Malley.

At the time, LaPaglia claimed O'Malley "never defended me" despite knowing about the alleged emotional abuse she dealt with from Bryan. However, she set the record straight during her appearance on Casual Chaos.

"Did that friendship end because she didn't want to see you hurt anymore?" Giudice asked LaPaglia during the episode.

LaPaglia replied, "No. It was not related to the Zach Bryan breakup at all. There was so much other stuff going on and I tried to say that online without saying what actually went down — but I mean, whatever."

When asked if their relationship became "too close for comfort" while working on their shared PlanBri Uncut podcast together, LaPagla explained the challenges of collaborating with someone she viewed as her "sister."

"It worked for a while," she said. "But then people's egos get big and it's just a recipe for disaster. I talk to a lot of people that work with their friends in the industry, and they say the same thing. It's just kind of like a recipe for disaster."

She added, "Which stinks because you wanna do everything with the people you love. But, yeah. It came to a point where it was like, 'This is not working.' There's just so much going on behind the scenes where it was like, it's not worth it's not worth it. I'm not happy anymore."

LaPaglia went on to explain why their PlanBri Uncut podcast didn't work.

"I think we just wanted two different things. I wanted to podcast. She wanted to be a comedian," she said of O'Malley. "It was just it was just two forces coming together hitting each other. It was just not working anymore."

Earlier in the episode, LaPaglia reflected on the emotional toll her relationship with Bryan had on her while they were publicly together from July 2023 to October 2024.

"I just lost myself a little bit," she told Giudice during their conversation. "I lost that free spirit that I had... I would walk into a room and I wouldn't be as loud or outgoing as I used to be."

"I was catching myself worried about what I was saying or how people would perceive me and I was never like that before," she continued. "I couldn't recognize myself anymore... I didn't even realize I was turning into something that I wasn't."

She added, "And I think that's what kind of when the light bulb went off... Someone really can have so much control or power over you without you even realizing it."
